What is your current rate?
I charge $200 per hour with a 2-hour minimum.
If you're looking for a smaller “one-shot” tattoo, the price will depend on size, complexity, and placement. I don’t give estimates through email. Booking a consultation is the best way to get an honest and accurate quote.
What forms of payment do you accept?
I accept debit, credit, PayPal, Venmo, and cash.
Venmo is my preferred form of payment.
What is the deposit for?
The deposit is my security that you'll show up to every appointment on time.
-
- $100 for a half-sleeve or smaller
- $200 for a full sleeve
- $300 for back pieces, full fronts, or full legs
The deposit holds all of your appointments and is subtracted from your final session if everything goes as planned.
You must contact me at least 24 hours in advance to reschedule or your deposit will be forfeited.
I allow two reschedules per appointment. Any more than that and you’ll need to leave a new deposit.
If you miss an appointment or go more than six months without getting tattooed, the deposit is forfeited.
I don’t like taking deposits, and you don’t want to lose that money. Please be ready to complete your tattoo once you begin.
Deposits are non-refundable, but if you show up on time to every appointment, the full amount is credited to your last session.
Do you do coverups?
Yes. Almost every large tattoo I do involves some amount of cover-up work.
Most of what you see in my portfolio includes coverups, but I stopped labeling them since it became redundant. I take pride in the fact that many people can't tell they are coverups at all. That tells me the method is working.
How can I book an appointment?
Start by filling out the CONTACT form on this site and sending me an email. From there, we’ll set up an in-person consultation to go over your ideas and take a tracing of the area you want tattooed.
You’re welcome to include a short description of your idea in your message, but we’ll talk more in-depth at the consult.
I book consultations at 11:30 am, Tuesday through Saturday. Let me know what days work best for you and I’ll send over some available times.
Once we agree on the direction for your tattoo, I require a cash deposit to book the appointment.
The deposit holds all your sessions and is applied to your final appointment, assuming you attend everything on time.
If you miss an appointment or fail to reach out at least 24 hours ahead, the deposit is forfeited and a new one will be required to continue.
You're allowed two reschedules per appointment. If you go more than six months without being tattooed, the deposit is forfeited.
Drawings are not sent in advance.
Each design is created specifically for your appointment. Small changes can always be made at the time of the session. For larger projects like sleeves or back pieces, I may share thumbnails before committing to a final design.
If the drawing really isn’t working for you when you arrive, I’ll reschedule you as soon as I can.
Deposits are non-refundable, but again, if you make every appointment and stay on schedule, the deposit is applied to your last session.
How should I prepare for the day I get tattooed?
Prep starts the day before your tattoo.
Eat well, rest well, and skip that last drink at the bar. On the day of your appointment, eat a solid meal before you arrive. You can also bring snacks, water, or juice.
People sometimes faint or pass out during tattoos, but it’s rarely from pain. It’s usually because they didn’t eat or hydrate properly. Your body is going through a lot, so treat it right and you’ll do fine.
Clients often ask if they should shave beforehand. If you think you should, go ahead. It helps, but it's not required. If you forget, that’s fine too. I’ll likely shave the area anyway. It's not just about removing hair but also getting rid of dust, dead skin, lint, and anything else that builds up on your skin.
If you have a large area being tattooed or a lot of hair, trimming it down with a beard trimmer can help speed up setup. Totally optional, but appreciated.
