What is your current rate?

I am currently $175/hr with a 2 hour minimum. If you’d like a small “one shot” tattoo the price will be determined by size, complexity, and location on the body. I don’t give any estimates through email. Booking a consultation is the best way for me to give you an honest and accurate estimate.

What forms of payment do you accept?

I take debit/credit cards, Venmo, PayPal, and cash. I would say Venmo is my preferred form of payment.

What is the deposit for?

The deposit is my security that you will show up promptly to every appointment. For a tattoo that is a half-sleeve or smaller it will be a $100 deposit, for a full sleeve it will be a $200 deposit, and for back-pieces (or full fronts or entire legs) it will be a $300 deposit. All deposits must be made in cash. This deposit holds all your appointments. So on your last appointment you get all that money back. If you do not call or get ahold on me WITHIN 24 HOURS you forfeit your deposit and will need to put down a new deposit to book any further appointments to complete your tattoo. I also allow only 2 reschedules per appointment or you lose your deposit. If you fail to make an appointment or get tattooed within 6 months the deposit is forfeited. I don’t like taking deposits, and you don’t want to lose that money so please be prepared to complete your tattoo when you start. If you make it to all your appointments on time by the completion of the tattoo, you will receive your deposit back on the last session. The deposit is non-refundable, under any circumstances.

Are you willing to finish another artist’s work?

Yes, although I will need the name of the shop and the name of the artist beforehand. I respectfully speak with the previous artist to ensure there will be no issues between my shop and theirs. This is protocol, if you can’t supply me with the name of the artist, or their shop, I am not interested in completing your tattoo.

Do you do coverups?

Yes, actually nearly every large tattoo I do has some coverups in it. Most of what is in my portfolio is a cover-up. I don’t label them as “cover-ups” anymore as I do them so often it became redundant. I actually take a bit of pride in NOT mentioning my work as coverups, as many people don’t even realize they are. This proves to me that my cover-up methods are effective.

What forms of payment do you accept?

I accept Debit, Credit, PayPal, Venmo, and Cash.

How can I book an appointment?

Go to the CONTACT form on this webpage and send me an email. We will then setup a consultation where we will meet in person and discuss your ideas, and take a tracing of the location you would like tattooed. You can give a brief description of your tattoo idea in the email but we will be going over your idea in person. I book consultations at 11:30 am Tuesday through Saturday, so let me know if there are days that work best for you and I’ll get back to you with some times where we could meet. Once we meet and we agree on an idea or direction to take the tattoo, I require a cash deposit to book an appointment. The deposit is my security that you will show up promptly to every appointment. The price of the deposit is dependent on the size of the tattoo. For a tattoo that is a half-sleeve or smaller it will be a $100 deposit, for a full sleeve it will be a $200 deposit, and for back-pieces (or full fronts, or entire legs) it will be a $300. This deposit holds all your appointments. So on your last appointment you get all that money back. If you do not get ahold on me WITHIN 24 HOURS you forfeit your deposit and will need to put down a new deposit to book any further appointments to complete your tattoo. The drawing will be made for that appointment and unfortunately you wont be able to see the drawing until that appointment. That is due to the amounts of drawings that are getting done for people. If on the day of your appointment you are unhappy with the drawing, any alterations can be made right there. If the tattoo is a sleeve or back-piece, this is a different circumstance where more communication is happening. You may be able to see some thumbnails (small drawings) before I commit to a larger drawing. If for some reason I totally dropped the ball and you are not into it, we will book another appointment as quick as I can fit you in. This deposit is non refundable. But as stated earlier, if you make all your appointments on time, the deposit is subtracted off the last session so you get your money back.

How should I prepare for the day I get tattooed?

It should start the day BEFORE you get tattooed! Take it easy, eat well, rest well, pass on that last drink at the bar. You should eat a decent sized meal before you get tattooed, and it's okay to bring snacks, water, and juice. You hear stories of people passing out or fainting, and that's not due to the pain typically. It's due to people not hydrating or having the nutrients to help them get through. This is a lot for your body, so take care of it, and you'll do great.

I'm often asked by customers if they should shave the area they want tattooed before they come in. If you think you should shave, then shave. It's not totally necessary, but it definitely helps. If you forget about it, or don't think of it that's okay too. Regardless I will probably shave the area before we begin anyways as it's not just hair I am removing, but dust, dead skin, fabric from your clothes, and other debris from normal living. None of this can be on your skin before we begin. If you are getting a large area tattooed or have a lot of hair, it wouldn't be a bad idea to trim it. You could even use a beard trimmer just to cut it down. This will definitely help speed up the setup process, but it's entirely up to you.
